The Corona virus disease (Covid 19) which has been characterised as pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) is attacking societies at their core.  If it is not properly addressed through policies, the social crisis created by the disease may also increase inequality, exclusion, discrimination and global unemployment as it is being witnessed in some countries.  Due to this effect, the committee on Fiscal studies has  organized for an online discussion on webinar platform to discuss the impact of covid 19 pandemic and the potential usefulness during and after the pandemic.  This discussion will be live on Thursday April 23, 2020 at 10a.m to 12.00p.m.  The main objective is to consider and take into account on adopting fiscal and social protection policies as well as the potential impact from the developing countries perspective in view of devising measures that could be used by the governments to support the informal and formal sectors during and after the pandemic.  As we are all aware this virus has caused a lot of damage to all humanity socially and economically.  Everything has come to a stand still and no one knows what is to happen next but we are hopeful that soon and very soon the Almighty God is going to provide a solution to this effect. Let us join the webinar discussion and hear from the experts on this.  Stay safe and maintain social distance all the time.
