The UoN community engaged in a tree planting ceremony on Friday 13th May 2022 at the Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The event which was well attended was presided over by the Chief Guest VC Prof Kiama. The VC speech whose emphasis was on hope for a better tomorrow was aimed at giving importance on conserving the earth. The master of ceremony was Prof. Florence Olubayo who thanked each participant for the noble gesture in conserving the environment. Speeches were presented by class rep BVM5 Mr. Denis Otieno, Acting Chief Operation Officer Mr. Brian Ouma, DVC AA Prof Julius Ogengo and Dean Faculty of Agriculture Prof J.Mande, closing remarks was made by Prof Onwonga who thanked Nairobi county government, equity foundation, shamba caffe, KEFRI, KFS, Loresho primary pupils and teachers, UoN staff and students and all the university fraternity for the noble course.
