The Acting Registrar ,Administration, Mr. Akala, officially saw off a delegation of staff travelling to Vihiga to participate in the Labour Day celebrations.

The event which was held at the University’s Transport Section, early this morning, brought together members of staff from various departments who had been selected to represent the University during the annual Labour Day celebration. The delegation is expected to join other workers, union representatives, and government officials in Vihiga County to mark the occasion.

Mr. Akala commended the staff for their commitment and dedication to service, noting that their participation in the celebrations reflects the University’s recognition of the vital role employees play in national development and wished them journey mercies.

The Labour Day celebrations, marked annually on May 1st, provide an opportunity to recognize the contributions of workers and to reflect on labour rights, working conditions, and social protection. The event in Vihiga is anticipated to attract a large number of participants from across the Country.
