On Wednesday, May 8, 2024 the University Officially opened the 8th edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week 2024 that was characterized by Innovation exhibitions, attendance by Faculty, Government and Government Agencies, Industry partners and the UoN students and their innovations.
Labour day which is always celebrated yearly on 1st May, is intended to appreciate Kenyan workers in building the economy.The University of Nairobi fraternity was well represented.
Administration Department on Friday 10th May 2024 joined the country in participation in the National Tree Growing Campaign at the field station,Upper Kabete Campus.
The exercise is aimed at achieving a revised target of planting 130,000 trees in the current financial year.

The UoN on 26th March 2024 launched new ICT sytems. The event was graced by CS for ICT Mr.Eliud Owallo. In his welcoming remarks the Corporate Affairs Director Mr. Orindi stated that the UoN was going towards the right direction as far as digitization is concerned and is in tandem with the goverment's agenda on digitization.
