UoN and Partners plant 11,000 Trees

The University fraternity and its partners gathered and planted 11,000 tree seedlings on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. This is in line with the president’s directive for all citizens and organizations to help the government achieve its aim of planting 5 billion trees as part of its climate mitigation agenda.

Among the partners that were donated the seedlings included Qwetu student residences, Platinum Credit Limited, Heard of Green, Kenya Forest Service (KFS), Kenya forest research institute(KEFRI) and the National Environmental Management Authority of Kenya (NEMA).

VC Prof. Kiama launches EDRMS

VC Prof Kiama on May 24,2022  launched  Electronic Document Record Management System(EDRMS)  at the Council Chamber,Administration Building.The system whose conceptualisation dated back to 2019 is meant to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the day to day operations in the University. In attendance were the acting Registrar Administration Mr. B D Njuguna,Director HR Miss  Jane Gatune,Director ICT Mr.

UoN community engages in annual tree planting ceremony.

The UoN community engaged in a tree planting ceremony on Friday 13th May 2022 at the Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The event which was well attended was presided over by the Chief Guest VC Prof Kiama. The VC speech whose emphasis was on hope for a better tomorrow was aimed at giving importance on conserving the earth.  The master of ceremony was Prof. Florence Olubayo who thanked each participant for the noble gesture in conserving the environment.
