The Acting Registrar ,Administration, Mr. Akala, officially saw off a delegation of staff travelling to Vihiga to participate in the Labour Day celebrations.

The event which was held at the University’s Transport Section, early this morning, brought together members of staff from various departments who had been selected to represent the University during the annual Labour Day celebration. The delegation is expected to join other workers, union representatives, and government officials in Vihiga County to mark the occasion.

The University Chaplains visits the Registrar Administration

This afternoon, April 28, 2026, the University Chaplain visited the Registrar in his office at the Old Administration Block. The visit was a cordial and constructive engagement aimed at strengthening collaboration within the University administration.

During the meeting, the Chaplain highlighted the importance of spiritual guidance and pastoral support for members of the University community. Spiritual well-being plays a significant role in promoting a balanced academic and social environment on campus.

H.E. PRESIDENT ALEXANDER STUBB, PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF FINLAND,DELIVERS A PUBLIC LECTURE IN TAIFA HALL.

On Tuesday March 13,2025 H.E President  Alexander Stubb delivered a public lecture  in Taifa Hall. The Theme of his address was "Geopolitics and the Transformation of the Multilateral Order."

Stubb, was accompanied by his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb and key members of his government.

Tree planting exercise on Friday April 11,2025 at Upper Kabete Campus.

The University has organised a tree planting exercise scheduled for Friday April 11,2025 at Upper Kabete Campus,Field Station. This is in line with the President's initiative on the national tree growing restoration campaign targeting planting of atleast 15 billion trees by the year 2032.

 

The program starts at 8.00am. All are welcome.

Launch of Negotiations for the Internal CBA 2017-2021

After 7 years since the internal CBA 2017-2021 proposal was approved, the University of Nairobi Management officially launched the negotiations with the Unions representatives on Monday, August 12, 2024.

The meeting  was chaired by the Ag Vice Chancellor, Prof. Margaret J. Hutchinson, in what she termed as her first assignment, It was revealed that the council had approved for negotiations to take place considering the counter proposals by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission and the financial status of the University.
