The Education Cabinet Secretary Professor Magoha reported that he has been touring various schools in the country to assess how conducive facilities are for the health and safety of the children, teachers and other staff in education institutions.  Adding that most schools seem to be congested  and will have to adhere to the rules of social distancing when they reopen, therefore urging management of these schools to construct additional classrooms to cater for those students safety while learning. 

The Covid 19 task force response committee reported that it had received 3,000 individual and institutional submissions on reopening of schools.  This coming when there is already a division among the education stakeholders on whether or not the schools should be opened for the second term.  Kenyans are eagerly waiting for the schools to reopen with concern for the form four and standard eight candidates.  The president in his public address to Kenyans on Saturday June 6th hinted that the earliest the schools can  be reopened is September 1st 2020.  He emphasised that this will only take pl
