The Dean of Students' Office at the University is making an appeal to all well-wishers to support the needy students of the University.   The community will always have those who are able and those who are not.  The needy students need to study just like the other students for them to realize their dreams they need to be supported.  It is always good to share the little that we have with others.  The donations can be in the form of money or other consumables.  

The Education Cabinet Secretary Professor Magoha reported that he has been touring various schools in the country to assess how conducive facilities are for the health and safety of the children, teachers and other staff in education institutions.  Adding that most schools seem to be congested  and will have to adhere to the rules of social distancing when they reopen, therefore urging management of these schools to construct additional classrooms to cater for those students safety while learning. 

Poor network coverage in most parts of the country has affected the online teaching and learning.  In most parts of the country there has been heavy floods and landslides.  Due to these issues most of the students from the areas have been reporting that they have been unable to remain as consistent as their counterparts from other private institutions who are less affected.  The student of the University of Nairobi reported this on Sunday June 13, 2020 that most of them are not ready to sit for online examinations as they had missed most of the online lectures due to network interference.

The University of Nairobi Vice - Chancellor Professor Stephen Kiama today Friday June 12, 2020 at 3.00 p.m addressed the staff, students and University of Nairobi stakeholders.  In his speech he started by thanking all the members of staff and students.  He noted that since the University started online teaching and learning, he has not received any complaints from the students or staff, just to prove that every thing has been going on smoothly.

The University of Nairobi Management wishes to inform its esteemed customers to use this time when the students are at home due to the outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic to clear all the outstanding fee balances so that when the University reopens there should  be no fee balances.  All parents, students and guardians are encouraged to visit our website and view our electronic notice board attached for more information.  Thank you very much for being part of our family.  Keep safe and maintain social distancing at this period of Covid 19.  God bless you all.
