Today on June 5, 2020 at 10.00 a.m in Taifa Hall marked the event of swearing in of Professor S.G Kiama as the eighth Vice -Chancellor. Present during the occasion was the chancellor Doctor Vijoo Rattansi, the Chair of the Council Professor Julia Ojiambo, members of the council, the Deputy Vice Chancellors and the former Vice -Chancellors of the University of Nairobi. This event is scheduled to take place on Friday June 5, 2020 in Taifa Hall from 10.a.m. As we are all aware Covid 19 is here with us and to prevent the further spread of the virus, this event will be streamed live online to observe social distancing, reduce congestion of people and have wide coverage. It is unfortunate that this important event of the university will happen at this time of corona when most of the staff are working from home and the students are home due to the pandemic.
